Thrifty Deal: Bread Maker for $5

I bought this used bread maker with manual for $5 through Craigslist. Its clean and its working fine. We bought almost all the kitchen utilities (except electronics items) in a moving sale for under $10 from our neighbor. Its always fun to find thrifty deals and get them for few pennies.

I follow a process to buy items through Craigslist:

1. Create a document in Google docs(easy to access from anywhere) for "buying list".
2. Check craigslist everyday (a quick look before you go to bed); Send emails to items thats in your buying list.
3. Before committing anything, think about resale price. There is no gaurantee if you buy through Craigslist. So, make sure the product is working well; Search online for more details even if the product is of less money
4. Take a break before buying the product and ask yourself the below questions:

(a. Can you resell it for the same price?
b. How much will you loose if the product is not working?
c. Will there be any repair in the near future?
etc etc.)

This process helps me in every way. Almost all the things I bought from Craigslist has the same or more resale value and don't rush to buy anything. Plan your things to buy in advance and give yourself more time looking for deals.
