Weekly Shopping Trip: $47.79 Spent this Week

My totaly spending was 32.79(excluding the TomTom GPS) for the products in the above pictures. Plus, I purchase $15 worth of groceries last sunday. So, my total is $47.79, which is $17.79 greater than my $30 budget. With cook n bake week and Boston trip, I needed lot of fruits and vegetables for bulk cooking and fresh juices.

DH (Dear Husband) loves granola bar. He needs a granola bar around 3 PM every day. Also he likes to grab a store bought one than a home made granola bar as its easy to have it even when he is in the meeting. These Quaker granola bars would come for around 3 months. I'm so happy.

I don't have a grind mill to grind my own flour. So, its impossible to make everything in whole wheat flour (very costly). Almost all the time I make pancakes in all purpose flour that worries me a lot. So, when I saw the Quaker oatmeal pancake mix in this week Walgreens deal, I was so excited. So, I stocked up 6 packs of pancake mix.

Did you ever try Nescafe instant coffee? Its 100% pure and tastes great. This $5 worth jar of instant coffee is going to save me a lot as I'm a Starbucks addict. :(

Overall I'm sure what I spent is totally worth the cost. Walgreens has fantastic deals for the upcoming weeks (till christmas) in almost all the essential groceries. So, its time to stock up and save money in the near future.

Its a special edition especially for Walmart Black Friday sale. I bought it only 2 days back. Its still available in Walmart for the same price. Weekly Shopping-11/1-11/7

This week I made shopping at Walgreens, Aldi and in an Indian store.

I earned $8.87 through register rewards for buying all the above items from Walgreens (except Maple syrup and fresh mozzarella cheese). So, these moneymakers are going to reduce my overall weekly spending.

Aldi Deals:
I bought both fresh mozzarella cheese for the panini and Maple light syrup for $4.08. I prefer Aldi for items such as cheese, onions and milk. You'll get the same quality items for less price.

In addition, I spent $38.12 in an Indian store last Sunday.

Overall, the total is ($38.12+$4.08-$8.87) $33.33

I'm $3.33 over the budget. As I'm under the budget most of the time, its acceptable to cross the budget limit sometimes. (not always.. reminding myself)

Weekly Shopping Day - 10/25-10/31

Total for the Week: $28.95 ($1.05 under the budget)

Its been a wonderful week for me when it comes to coupon shopping. I snagged all the above items worth $85.29 for $12.43 from Walgreens, Walmart and Target. Here's how I did it:

Walgreens Shopping:
2 Lyson Neura Air Refill for 2/$7 and used 2 $4 coupons from here. ($1 moneymaker)
2 Trident gums for $2/2; Used 2 $0.75 coupons and got $1 ($0.5 money maker)
I know I should buy some useful filler for the additional money. So, I bought canned pinapple for $0.79
Total :$0.29 and got $1. After tax, I paid $0.09 from hand

Walmart Shopping freebies:
- Used Free Kashi Sunshine Cereal coupon from Vocalpoint
- Used Free Stonyfield Organic Yogurt coupon for a Quart of Plain Yogurt (Need a starter to make homemade yogurt)
- Used 4 $4 knox coupons (got around $9 moneymaker)
- Used 5 Free Downy Wrinkle releaser coupons (Its a PDF coupon. I saved it in my computer. So, I can get as many bottles as I want till 12/31/09. Going to stock up from now on. Couldn't find this coupon in online. Also, I don't know whether I can upload it. So, whoever want, please email me at save.indymoney at gmail dot com. I'll send you the coupon PDF)
- Used BOGO Egg coupon released a month's back.

Target Shopping:
- Bought 3 Pledge products and got $5 gift card deal.

Total $7.47. Paid $5 using Gift card and $2.47 from hand.

Second transaction:
Bought 3 Keebler cookies for free. Keebler has released $1/1 printable coupon in August. I saved all the coupons and used them now.

Use 3 $1/1 manufacturer coupons and 1 $1/2 Target coupon. You'll get all 3 Keebler cookies for FREE

Total: $2.53; Paid through Pledge Gift Card.

I did a quick shopping to a nearby Thai store on Wednesday for some vegetables, Tofu and misc items. Total $14.42

Overall total for the Week: $28.95. (Products worth $99.71)

I'm still under the budget for this week as my weekly standard budget is $30.
