Sweet Potato Burger Patty Recipe

As a vegetarian, I'm having difficult time to find veggie burgers in restaurants. So, almost all the time I make burger patties at home with different ingredients each time. Mostly I prefer adding beans, lentils and other protein rich vegetables as they're healthy. But sometimes I make potato patties to give a treat to our taste buds.

This is my first sweet potato patty dish. I added the ingredients based on my own preference. If you like to try a different kind of burger for a change, you may give this a try.

Ingredients:
Sweet Potatoes - 2 lb
Whole wheat bread - 1/2 loaf
Garlic - 1
Ginger - a small piece
Paprika - 1/2 teaspoons
Chili powder - to taste
Salt - to taste
Parsley - 2 teaspoons
Italian Seasoning - 2 teaspoons
Ground nutmeg - 1/2 teaspoons
Onion powder - 2 teaspoons
Cajun seasoning - 1 teaspoons

Procedure:
- Boil the potatoes and mash them very well
- Soak 1/2 loaf of bread in water for 1 min and remove from the water once it became soft
- Remove the water from bread
- Combine both mashed potatoes and bread and mix well
- Grind both ginger and garlic and add them to the mix
- Add all the spices and combine the dough very well (the dough will be little watery than normal patty dough)
- Make thin patties and place them on a baking sheet
- Bake at 400 F for 20 mins, turn all of them into the other side and bake them for another 10 mins
- The patty will be very soft, thin and crispy.

You can have 2 if you like a thick burger. As a fan of thick burger patty, I prefer this way.
By the way, if you give it a try, don't forget to let us know your feedback. For more recipes, click here
